The Standard Operating Category (SOC) is assigned at the Job Code level. Summary:
This topic will provide an overview of HR Departments and their purpose in OneUSG Connect. HR departments differ fundamentally in their functionality from Finance Departments. The Financials perspective is about capturing costs into distinct groups (cost centers) for reporting, tracking, and accountability. Many times budget and accounting organizations create departments to segregate costs or revenues. The Human Resources perspective is not about organizing costs – it is about organizing people. HR departments are organizational in nature and generally have a location, a manager, and employee(s).
