Mail & Receiving 2023 Holiday Schedule

Mail & Receiving Services will suspend regularly scheduled mail and delivery services during the University’s Holiday break, between Monday, December 25, 2023, and Monday, January 1, 2024. We will operate a normal pickup and delivery of mail and packages on Friday, December 22, unless you request a change of service as noted below. We are sharing the following dates to help meet your delivery needs.

DECEMBER 15 – SUBMIT OUTGOING MAIL 

Please submit third-class bulk mail or marketing mail that must be processed before the holidays to Mail Services by the close of business Friday, December 15, 2023.

HOLIDAY PICKUP

If you would like to pick up your department’s mail or packages during the holiday break, please submit this short form by Friday, December 15, 2023.

DECEMBER 22 EARLY DELIVERIES OR CANCELLATION OF SERVICE

If your department requires mail or package delivery on Friday, December 22, at a specific time or you wish to not receive any mail/package service this day, please call 706-425-3270 or email Susan Baxter at sbaxter@uga.edu no later than Friday, December 15, 2023.

DECEMBER 28-29 MAIL PICKUP

Mail & Receiving Services will be open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 28 and Friday, December 29. We will resume normal pickup/delivery of mail and packages on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. We are located in the Administrative Services Warehouse at 4435 Atlanta Highway, Athens, GA 30606. Please access the facility from the West Dock. If you need additional directions or have special requests regarding Mail & Receiving Services not accommodated by the above schedule, please call the mailroom at 706-425-3270.
