AP & Procurement moving to Microsoft Teams Phones

Starting Tuesday, May 7, both the Accounts Payable and Procurement teams will transition our telephone services to Teams Phone.

Impacts to the UGA community:

Our phone numbers will remain the same, but we will no longer be reachable by extension only. For example, if you are calling from a UGA desk phone, rather than dialing 2-2786 to reach Accounts Payable, you will need to first dial 9 (just like any outside call), then 706-542-2786. Rather than dialing 2-2361 to reach Procurement, you will need to first dial 9, then 706-542-2361. The same applies to the individual phone numbers for each of our team members.

Benefits of this change:

In addition to cost savings for UGA, we expect this to improve the physical quality of our phone service and to improve our service level analytics, which allows us to better serve and support you. 

Requested action:

Please share this information with any individuals in your unit who may need to contact Procurement or Accounts Payable via internal listservs, etc. 

Please note that Accounts Payable and Procurement phone lines may be temporarily inaccessible on the evening of Monday, May 6, while the phone system is being converted.
