Defined-Term Payment Process Steps

1. MSS Transaction: Submit an MSS transaction in OneUSG Connect (steps here) to initiate the request.

Note: When entering the MSS transaction, select “Defined Term Payment” under supplemental pay code. No combo code is needed. Be sure to select the appropriate supplemental pay code. Submit the MSS transaction.

2. Position Funding: Submit a change position funding request to fund the earnings code. Use the Comp Rate Code to Earnings Code list to select the correct codes. Note: You do not have to wait to take this step; you can complete all steps at one time.

Note: It is important to note that the supplement earnings code should be funded even if that supplement is funded by the same combo code as regular earnings.

3. Process Complete. University Human Resources will process the transaction.
