New Surplus Marketplace
Thursday, January 26, 2023
UGA Asset Management is pleased to officially announce a new tool for internally advertising
surplus equipment and supplies at UGA. The new Surplus Marketplace is live and can be used to post surplus items and post wish list items! In addition
to the link above, you can find links to the Surplus Marketplace on our main Asset Management website and on the OneSource Asset Management page.
Please remember to only post UGA-owned equipment and supplies (no personal items should
be posted to the Surplus Marketplace). Claimed items are state property and should
only be used for UGA business or research purposes.
How to use the Surplus Marketplace
TO POST:
- Go to https://onesource.uga.edu/resources/surplus_marketplace/.
- Click the “Add Item to Surplus Marketplace” button and complete all necessary fields.
- When entering the “Available Until” date, be sure to allow enough time for the items to be seen and claimed. Best practice is to allow at least 1-2 weeks or longer. The posting will be removed when the Available Until date passes.
- Click the “Submit” button and review the posting.
- You can edit the posting by clicking the edit button
TO CLAIM:
- Email the contact using the provided email in the “Contact” field.
- Click the edit button and change the Status to “Claimed” (this can also be done by the individual that created the post).
- Enter your name in the Comments section (at the end of any other comments in the field).
- Coordinate the physical transfer with the current custodian of the items. If you are
transferring inventoried items, please be sure to update the custodial information in UGA Financials Asset Management
